Supporting Fundació Quadpack in driving forward the Orion Project
At Tandem Social, we believe that social transformation starts at the roots and, above all, is built collectively. In May, we held an inspiring working session with Fundació Quadpack —the corporate foundation of the renowned packaging company— to support the development of its Orion Project. This initiative addresses key social challenges by supporting young people in vulnerable situations and improving their employability through internships at large companies.
Measuring impact to scale it
For an initiative with such strong social value to consolidate and grow, it is essential to establish solid methodological foundations. With this goal in mind, we designed a working session to collectively address the organization’s two main future challenges.
The first major challenge focused on how to measure real impact and make the change visible. In the social sector, we know that it is not enough to simply count how many young people participate in a program; the true value of this initiative lies in demonstrating how it genuinely transforms their life trajectories. Measuring this impact rigorously is key to ensuring the project’s social value and building trust among stakeholders. To address this, during the session we developed a new framework of both quantitative and qualitative indicators. This allowed us to design specific evaluation tools that will not only assess young people’s final employment outcomes, but also their entire journey: from developing transferable skills to strengthening their personal empowerment.
The second challenge was designing the program’s scalability to reach more people without losing its essence. The greatest challenge for any successful project is to grow sustainably: how can the Orion model be replicated across new companies and territories while maintaining the warmth and quality of such personalized support? We addressed this question through guided ideation methodologies and feasibility matrices. Thanks to this collective work, we began to conceptualize a transfer model and standardized protocols.
Working in tandem to multiply impact
During this session with Fundació Quadpack, we created the co-creation space that defines our approach, bringing our entrepreneurial culture to support key strategic decision-making.
The Orion Project is a perfect example of how bridges can be built between different worlds. Connecting the reality of traditional business and the corporate sector with the field of social vulnerability is essential to multiplying impact. As a consultancy, we love translating these two languages and creating strong partnerships that benefit society as a whole.
This working session has been just one more step in a much longer shared journey.
